Patient Guide
Preparing for your visit to NordicCare Helsehus
Practical guidance on booking, arriving for your appointment, insurance documentation and understanding your results.
Before Your Appointment
Booking your consultation
Appointments can be arranged by phone, email or through the consultation form on our Contact page. When booking, please have available your preferred department, a brief description of your symptoms or reason for consultation, and your patient type (private, insurance or corporate health scheme), so our coordination team can direct you to the right specialist.
Insurance & Corporate Patients
Documentation to bring
If your consultation is covered by a health insurance policy or a corporate occupational health scheme, please bring any referral letter, policy number or authorisation reference provided by your insurer or employer. Our reception team can confirm in advance what documentation your specific policy requires.
On the Day
Arriving at NordicCare Helsehus
Please arrive a little before your scheduled appointment time to allow for registration at reception. Bring photo identification, a list of any current medication, and any previous test results or imaging relevant to your consultation. If you require an interpreter or have any accessibility needs, let our reception team know when booking so we can prepare accordingly.
After Your Visit
Results and follow-up
Where laboratory tests or imaging have been arranged, your specialist will explain how and when results will be shared, typically at a follow-up consultation. If a treatment plan involves another department, such as day surgery or rehabilitation, our coordination team will help arrange the necessary next appointments.
